Club History
The club can be traced back as far as 1866. It has remained a club owned and run by members. Committee members make decisions regarding the clubs future and how the club should be run, however members are also consulted on issues.
Tudhoe Cricket Club have had many memorable league and cup achievements over the last 60 years. In 1988 both the first and second team won the league and cup finals. This has never been repeated in the league.
In 1989 and 1999 Tudhoe won the Austin trophy, this is a trophy that only Tudhoe in the league has won.
In the late 70s to 80s Tudhoe had a player called Neville Meads who originated from Jamaica. He was based at Leeming Bar and traveled to Tudhoe. He started boxing for Great Britain and became Heavy weight champion.
In 1994 John Davies scored consecutive double hundreds in 2 weekends. His scores were 205 N.O. and 208 N.O. this is still a B division record. John has played at the club for over 40 years and is still going strong.
